Hart InterCivic Announces The Release Of AddressOne
AddressOne is First Commercial Application for State and Local Governments that Manages and Standardizes Addresses Enterprise-Wide

Hart InterCivic, a leading provider of Election and Geo-content solutions for state and local governments, today announced the release of AddressOne which combines GIS and address management in a single application to standardize the use of physical and mailing addresses across the enterprise.
Addressing of properties is a pervasive problem for state and local governments. Tracking and managing addresses, and the need to tie them back to the locations to which they refer, is a difficult and time-consuming effort spanning multiple functions. Each department maintains at least one vertical application that needs many of the same addresses, but address formats differ and departments are typically on their own for discovering, entering and maintaining addresses.
AddressOne is the first and only GIS-enabled, Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) application to solve this growing problem. AddressOne enables state and local governments to reduce operating costs, increase productivity and optimize service delivery by establishing a centralized address repository that’s spatially-enabled (GIS) for visual representation, access and analysis.
Currently being deployed in Mecklenburg County, NC, AddressOne will disperse address data to the appropriate points in various systems to eliminate redundant data entry, while increasing the accuracy and consistency of addresses enterprise-wide.
"For years, government officials have talked about the need to standardize addresses since nearly every business process and citizen interaction in a jurisdiction is tied to a location," said Neil McClure, Chief Technology Officer, Hart InterCivic. "But custom solutions are expensive to build and maintain, and often provide only point-in-time cleansing and consolidation for address consumers. To truly solve the address lifecycle management problem, you need a solution that allows addresses to be managed and validated at the point-of-origin and that’s AddressOne."
AddressOne Capabilities
• Master Address Repository. Authoritative, FGDC-compliant repository for all physical addresses (e.g. situs, container, unit), which must exist within the jurisdiction, and logical addresses (e.g. owner, resident, manager) which may be located outside the jurisdiction.
• AddressOne Tuner. Powerful GIS-based interface allows mappers and users responsible for assigning addresses to easily manage physical address points and street centerlines using standard ESRI desktop tools (ArcMap extension).
• AddressOne Seeker. Intuitive browser-based application allows end-users to quickly find, geocode and validate addresses enabling quality control of addressing data to be distributed to multiple stakeholders including internal departments and the public.
• Configuration and Extensibility. Supports Microsoft Active Directory and configuration of 3rd-party authentication, geocoding and address validation / certification services (CASS) to leverage and protect investments in people, processes and existing systems.
• Interoperability. Documented, standards-based APIs (web services) facilitate rich integration with existing enterprise and department-specific applications to derive maximum ROI from end-to-end automation of essential address-dependent business processes.
