Election Technology Council
The Election Technology Council is a 501(c)6 trade association consisting of voting system manufacturers in the United States. The current membership of the Council represents the voting system platforms for 90% of the registered voters in the U.S. http://www.electiontech.org/
Election Center
The Election Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting, preserving, and improving democracy. Its members are government employees whose profession is to serve in voter registration and elections administration. www.electioncenter.org
IACREOT
The International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials, and Treasurers (IACREOT) was founded in 1971 by a group of government officials who wanted a professional organization which would provide a forum for the free exchange of information, resulting in improved standards for serving the public. Members are governmental officials whose responsibilities fall into one of four areas: finance, land records, courts, and elections. www.iacreot.com
IEEE
Project P1583 is charged with development of a standard of requirements and evaluation methods for election voting equipment. The standard will provide technical specifications for electronic, mechanical, and human factors that can be used by manufacturers of voting machines or by those purchasing such machines. www.ieee.org
NACO
The National Association of Counties (NACo) was created in 1935 when county officials wanted to have a strong voice in the nation's capital. NACo is a full-service organization that provides an extensive line of services including legislative, research, technical, and public affairs assistance, as well as enterprise services to its members. The association acts as a liaison with other levels of government, works to improve public understanding of counties, serves as a national advocate for counties and provides them with resources to help them find innovative methods to meet the challenges they face. www.naco.org
NACRC
The National Association of County Recorders, Election Officials and Clerks is a professional organization of elected and appointed county administrative officials, who recognize the advantages of networking on a national level. www.nacrc.org
NASS
National Association of Secretaries of State is the oldest professional, nonpartisan organization of public officials in the United States. Founded in 1904, NASS serves as a medium for the exchange of information among the Secretaries of State and fosters cooperation between state governments in the development of public policy. www.nass.org
