Election Service Specialist
SUMMARY
Hart InterCivic, a leading provider of voting system technology and elections consulting expertise for counties across the country, is seeking Election Service Specialists.
As members of the Professional Services team, Election Service Specialists work with clients and other team members to perform voting system support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and training. Candidates must have prior experience working with one or more voting systems in a customer-facing capacity.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowledge of election procedures and terminology, including ballot definition and printing, LAT, by-mail voting, Early Voting, Election Day, tabulation, and post-election processes
- Assess client processes and technologies used for election administration
- Perform ballot programming and layout
- Onsite maintenance, support and troubleshooting for one or more types of voting system hardware (e.g., optical scan, DRE, etc.)
- Creation and revision of documentation for technical procedures, training, etc.
- Conduct training sessions for specified voting system software and hardware
- Maintain working knowledge of applications, products, and services from an end user perspective
- Communicate and interact with election officials in a personable and professional manner, often under stressful conditions
- Support Regional Sales Manager with sales calls, technical knowledge, and service configurations
- Provide feedback on service features and priorities to the sales & marketing teams
- Collaborate with manager of professional services to enhance the tools, templates, and techniques used for service delivery
- Apply knowledge of technology tools to problem-solving situations
- Work cooperatively with other Election Service Specialists, Project Managers, and Consultants
- Comply with Hart InterCivic and local agency policies, procedures, and regulations
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's Degree, or equivalent, is required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- At least one year experience in elections is required
- At least two years experience with an election services provider is required
- Strong customer-orientation
- Strong customer presentation skills
- Ability to read, write and interpret technical procedures, troubleshooting guides, and training curricula
- Proficiency with hands-on technical procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows computers
- Detail oriented

- Ability to build long-term client relationships
- Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation
- Operates independently with minimal guidance
- Ability to travel from 50% to 75% time
