Our History

The founders of our company entered the printing industry in 1912, morphing through several name changes before becoming Hart InterCivic in the year 2000.

From the original Hart Graphics, Inc., a government-services-focused subsidiary was established in 1989 and called Hart Forms & Services. In 1995, to better communicate its full scope of offerings, Hart Forms & Services changed its name to Hart Information Services, Inc. During the next five years, Hart Information Services rapidly expanded its market presence through the acquisition of three major election services providers: Texas County Printing & Services, Computer Link Corporation, and Worldwide Election Systems. Worldwide was the developer of the eSlate^®, Hart's highly acclaimed direct recording electronic (DRE) voting solution. The eSlate was specifically designed to accommodate the needs of voters with disabilities and to provide easy management of multitudes of ballot styles.

The need for election services continued to grow, and in 1999, the company spun off completely from Hart Graphics. Since then, we've added to the eSlate product line. Today, Hart InterCivic provides election management solutions to state, local government nationwide.
